Housing and Homelessness Prevention
With decent, affordable housing quickly disappearing throughout Queens at the very time when the need for it is exploding, Queens Community House puts its 33-year commitment to preserve and expand this necessity of life, and protect tenants from eviction, and homeowners from losing their properties, into concrete action through its various housing-related services. These include housing information and referral for tenants and property owners; loan and grant application assistance; education and advocacy about tenants’ rights; eviction prevention intervention; and correction of housing code violations in several communities.
