Youth Development at Jamaica, Newtown & Hillcrest High Schools

Queens Community House's School-Based Youth Development Centers are collaborations with the New York City Department of Education and the individual high schools where the centers are located. Together, we work toward improving student attendance, participation and academic performance for targeted students in these schools. 

Through individual, group, and family counseling, we address issues that these teens are confronting, including their academic studies, school attendance, navigating the high school system and experience, and college and career preparation.  Counseling is offered during the school day.  Leadership program for girls is available at Newtown and Hillcrest; college and career counseling for all students is available at Hillcrest.
